Is Labne the same/similar to Philadelphia type cream cheese ? What are the different colour (blue, green) tubs - is it salted and unsalted ? I know the pink is "light".
Thanks

Labne has a lot less of the distinct "Philadelphia" taste. There is one that is similar but would need to see it down the shop.
Ah Lovely innit

Labne is more like fromage frais. I use in instead of frmage frais in recipes which use cream or fromage frais.

Just in case anyone makes the same mistake I did, on the outside of the Labne tubs is shows a picture of tirimasu, so I used it to make Tirimasu. Big mistake, far too runny, tasted fine, but wrong consistency so went out and got some mascarpone and started again.
