Car mechanic recommendations?

Looking for a genuine car mechanic in the alsancak/lapta area preferably.
My diesel car has a fuel problem,I think, its just come back from a local garage after 11 days and today same problem won't start. I am just so fed up now because before I had a clutch installed but they didn't change the thrust bearing and it now sounds like a tractor when I put my foot on the clutch.
Surely it can't be this complicated to fix.
The problem is I have paid them for the work so now they are reluctant to come out in case they have to do it for nothing. Its a catch 22 situation really as I don't really want to pay again.
I am not going to name any garages so you will probably give me the same names as the ones iI have tried.

Try John who has a garage down at Sunset. Highly recommended and ability to communicate without possible language misunderstandings is always reassuring.
