On Christmas Day a festive swim will be taking place in aid of Tulips on Kervanserray Beach.

If you would like to go for a 'Festive Dip' then please come along for about 10.30am with the swim taking place at 11am. A donation of 10TL is being asked for each swimmer however if you wish to collect a few sponsors then please call Jayne Woods for a sponsor form on 0533 837 2795.

The Food Lodge in Catalkoy is very kindly donating a large urn of Hot Mulled Wine of which a cup will be free to all swimmers and a small charge of 3tl to non swimmers, what better reason to come along!

We have sampled the Mulled Wine (someone had to be the taster before the event ) and mmmmm..............it is beautiful so please come along and join us for a festive drink and to the brave; please come along for a festive dip.

We look forward to seeing you on Christmas Day.

I would just like to say a huge thankyou to the volunteers that came down to Kervanseray Beach yesterday morning and cleared up all the seaweed and debris that was preventing access to the sea from that awful bout of bad weather that we had a couple of weeks ago.

It was back breaking work as the seaweed was packed 3 feet high in places but we now have an area (of which even the Belediye should be proud ) where there is no excuse not to 'get in and get wet'!

Hope to see you later if not for a swim then please pop along (for a drop of beautiful mulled wine) and help cheer on those that are barmey enough to get wet

Merry Christmas to you all
