Off all Friday night ,off when I woke this morning came on at 6am now its off again.I am n Catalkoy above the Malpas. FED up!

Same as above, I live in the hpe that they are trying to find out why my street lights went off 5 months ago and have not been on again since!!!!

Has anybody got any idea why we are having so many power cuts, is it the union switching it off, are they conserving the fuel so that New Year celebrations can go ahead without interruption, surely they can't be doing repairs in the middle of the night, so why are we getting cuts almost every day.
I still can't get my head around the fact that big hotels and government offices can run up huge bills without penalty yet domestic customers have the supply cut off if they don't pay for two months, crazy situation. !!!!

Kib tec say its routine servicing in my area it was in the Kibris paper which I dont buy.

That's a joke Deniz ... we are in Karsiyaka and also been off all night two nights running .. thats apart from the daytime cuts, usually beautifully timed when everyone is trying to get an evening meal or have a shower in the morning! grrrr

We live in Çatalköy beind the Malpas and our power has been on all day but my friend who lives higher up and to the right of us above the village has had no power all day and it is still off.

It has just come on thank goodness I am in Bufavento village spud50. Lower down had no problems. My tc neighbour said he had the paper and there was nothing in it.

ours came 5pm is this a new game play as it is coming up to xmas . pahaps we all go down to the hotels who not paid there bils and have free xmas dinner . what do you think they will do

The continuance of supply is so much better than 10 years ago so stop moaning for gods sake! No wonder the Aussies call us winging poms!

Did hear a rumour! that there are going to be power cuts every day next week!!!! Watch this space.

Actually I have been here 10 years and yes we lots then but normally just a short while this week Friday 12 hours Sat 9 hours and today 7 time to throw the food out of the freezer I think and who is going to pay for that? ME. Since the price increases the cuts have got worse.

Five years ago we had power cuts for many hours every day while work was being carried out by Kibtek, we were told then that cuts would be a thing of the past.

Can anyone help with all the power cuts we are thinking about installing a geny, what is the cost ?, how is it connected to the house ?,do you need planning, etc.

if you remember 4yrs ago the government that imported the new turbines was giving us promises of NO MORE POWER CUTS a thing of the past
It is if you live near a government official or army camp Guzelyet dont get as many as most of the power station workers live there
Its the same old game who you live near or who you know
I went to the bank today and my letter off security has to be upt so i think we are in for big rises next yr mind you if you are Cypriot there are no rises for them
