NTV again!

Has anyone else experienced problems with NTV just lately? We have at least 10 channels missing today, TV was off most of yesterday, very poor indeed for at least a week.
Looks like the problems they were experiencing last year are with us again. Will they ever get the system right???

David can you please stop spreading your disinformation. Kemal is not the owner of NTV. Why you feel the need to keep trying to spread such lies I do not know.

MTC - there are some channels down on NTV currently and we are working to get them back as soon as we can.

Here we go again - happy 2014. Yesterday NTV was off all day until 7pm and then disappeared intermittently for the rest of the evening. Today half of the channels are showing "file missing" and the online support is off, so despite sending a message to NTV we are totally in the dark as to what is happening. Their website reports various functions as now being available but no information as to why half the programmes are currently unavailable.

bargainboozeandwines - You seem to have a habit of making a comment (Mostly unhelpful) each and every time the topic of Multimax or NTV appears. Please can I ask that you remain on topic and if you have nothing helpful to say please refrain from posting.

Many Thanks

We too are having mega problems with NTV.Its been not good for at least a few days.Just waiting for it to be sorted.Hopefully soon.Expect they will give a few extra days for the problems we are having.Have to say from our earlier troubles the service has been really good up until now.

David you stated that Kemal is the owner of NTV. This is just not true. It has never been true.

Virgin Media brings Netflix to its customers but this does not mean that Virgin Media own Netflix or that Richard Branson owns Netflix.

Once more I would politely ask you to stop spreading lies (things that are not true) about NTV and Multimax.

Bargain Booze, as you are no longer a customer of Multimax I don't know why you are so interested in it, perhaps you ought to concentrate on running your own business and allow others to do the same. It gets really quite boring when you keep going on and on, anyone would think you were trying to damage the company, how would you feel if someone did that to your business.

All,

Please can we get back to the original question and as tempting as it can be please do not respond to comments that are not helpful or relevant.

Question starts with:-

Has anyone else experienced problems with NTV just lately?

If thread does not stay on topic we may have to lock or delete.

Many Thanks

Most channels should now be working again on NTV. There are still a very small number not working and we are trying to restore those as soon as possible.

It is worth of note that when there have been channel failures there are still movies on demand which has been quite useful.

NTV off again!! Why is it when you are watching a good program it goes off? Very frustrating indeed, back to the bad old days. Wish there was a viable alternative, I blame the satellite move and losing sky tv, now that was good.

Hi all, you are in the TRNC - an unrecognised country. What has that got to do with anything you may ask.....Everything. Get the old DVD player out and watch a movie when channels are down; just like you would get the candles out when there is a power-cut.

Sorry, not trying to be sarcastic....it's just the way it is and how we all try and adapt to situations in the TRNC.

As Erol states they are trying their best to get things working again.

Sorry Soner, that argument doesn't wash! We live in an unrecognized country, you are right what has that got to do with it????

We are paying for a service which in the last week has been crap to say the least. I fully appreciate Erols attempts to correct the problems however, NTV have stated that most if not all problems will be sorted soon, no chance of that any time soon.

Watching it now, stop/start, poor reception, going off most evenings.

By the way you make the TRNC sound pretty backward with your argument, yeh right, let's get the dominoes out when the TV goes wrong.

Why not go to a provider that has little or no problems.
We have used Digiturk for over 4 years and highly satisfied. If you insist on watching UK TV then stick with the forever on going problems or vote with your feet!

I agree cyprusishome,it is all about choice .

i am also onto my 3rd year with OSN with no problems what so ever other than a dish bending or moving in the wind a long time ago.

We were with OSN until last week and we had no problems but I got fed up of repeat after repeat after repeat.

Christmas Day - Andrew Lloyd Webber 40 years on every 4 hours. They showed The Royal Variety Performance 2005! The other channels were just repeats of stuff I had watched, in one case, 3 years ago. I had had enough so changed.

One of my biggest gripes with OSN too. The few problems I have had with NTV I have been satisfied with the eventual outcome. I find the set top box good because I can put my hard drive in and play films I download too.
