Today, January 10th, I received a batch of 12 Christmas cards, all of them received at Lefkosa on, or before December 13th, which means they took longer for the Lefkosa-Alsancak journey, then they did from UK, Irish Republic, Malaysia and New Zealand!!

I also got a christmas card today.
We had quite a few at the very beginning of January, but all were posted about 12-18 December. Today's was posted on 9th December! Looks to me like somebody mislaid a postbag in Lefkosa!!!

15 cards today in Ozankoy mail box, one in the office with the post box number on it! Only 4 were franked in the UK, so no idea when they were posted. Some in Lefkosa since 13th December. still a lot missing.

Owl Lady cannot speak for anything else you have experienced re your post in NC but just to let you know that over the Xmas period in UK, due to the increased volume of post it is not unusual now to receive Xmas cards not franked. I received most of mine at Xmas in UK without being franked, it happens mostly during the last 2 weeks before Xmas. For people like yourself it doesn't help if you have a problem with post and want to find out details to track down what has happen to delayed post.

Hmmmmm glad to see some people got thiers, my mum sent 6 cards from relatives on the same day in the last week of November, all addressed the same all from the same UK post office and sent airmail.
We have not received one of them to date here in Alsancak, they address is OK as we sent test letters during the summer all of which arrived through the post box in 11 days.

Also received loads of cards well into Jan, postmarked 9/12/13 in UK - where does it sit for so long??? Most were not dated stamped in either Lefkosa or Lapta PO. Are they not meant to be??

I don't think they dare date stamp them just in case questions are asked as to why they've been sitting there for so long.
