Is it me or are there more ads now in between the posts. I know there are adverts at the top of the page all the time.

I think you'l find this Forum is not only informative but the same as a newspaper or TV, it needs its Ads. to flourish. It must cost Soner a pretty penny to keep it at the level that it is. I don't mind them at all. Sometimes I've seen something of benefit. Better that then endless, boring threads from someone trying to push their bar or whatever. That used to drive me bonkers.

Thanks Sophie for those kind and wise words. YOu are correct. The money from ads is needed to run the forum/web page. Remember Cyprus 44 when it got into trouble and money had to be got to pay for a better protection programme? Soner works jolly hard to make this the best he can, and yes it does take money.

So thanks to those who DO advertise so the rest of us can benefit from the info etc.

On the other hand if a complaint does seem really justifie,d then I know that Soner is always looking to improve the site for US.

All money generated from adverts last year was donated to charities in TRNC. All costs of the forum for the past 2 years have been paid by myself, including the thousands that it cost me to fix and protect against hackers. Again, thanks to all those companies supporting Kibkom by advertising, I will be happy to announce them when I again donate to charities this year in March.

Hope that members make use of these adverts and support these companies that are supporting your forum and charities in the TRNC.

ps. it would be nice if many of the sellers on this forum also made some sort of small contribution.

Think the point is being missed here, there can be no objections to paid advertising, as this is the only board income, but why are posters allowed to use the forum as a non paying selling medium.

Sorry I forgot tha t you give all the money away Soner. How could I forget that. Sorry. But in answer to the last posting, I think Soner has inferred that it would be good to give something when items are sold. As to the possible overuse of advertising goods for sale, there are several factors in this, but I think Soner should explain that. I don't want to make another howler!!!!!
