Barbara seems to be still walking on the straight and narrow and nicotine free road she promised to do. She smoked her last cigarette on the 16th December and her one month is up in a week.
She is taking sponsorships to raise money for Tulips, so that as Barbara becomes healthier others can become healthier through Tulips.

unfortunately due to rain and her being away, she was not available to receive moneys/promise34s etcf, BUT SHE WILL BE AT PINE BAY IN THE MORNING. Pine Bay Boot Fair that is, at Alsancak.

Barbara has been smoking for over forty years, and often 60 fags a day. A VERY difficult habit to break. She has done it and is determined this will be for ever (for her lifetime) and she hopes that people will be generous with sponsorship monies so that others can live a lifetime without being carried off by that dreadful Cancer!

If you can't make it to either of these, then ask me and I can give Barbara's phone number. A little inconvience in getting money to her is nothing compared to the inconvenience of living with cancer and not being able to afford medical help.

Hi Stella, I was not collecting the money, we are asking people to make donations at the Tulips stall at Lambussa and obviously at the Boot Fair at Pine Bay, my month is not up until 17th January so have 6 days to go, thank you though Stella and thank you Owl Lady, yes shall be popping to Cafe Boss this week defo, only got back Wednesday night.
I would also like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported and encouraged me, don't think I could have done it without you all, so thank you thank you xxx

Of course, I forgot, you aren't allowed to collect the money yourself. I can't keep up with all the laws sometimes, will give it to Tulips Saturday. 100% sure your'll make it. Well done, I hope Kevin has a nice surprise in store for you as a treat for doing so well.xx

Just to bring this to the top, it is the last few days of my quest to pack up smoking, on the 17th of Jan (this Friday) it will be one month and all those who have sponsored me will be liable to pay up, all proceeds going to Tulips which is a very very deserving charity advising and assisting sufferers of cancer in their treatment. It has shocked me that I have got this far in my quest, but to be honest this charity so needs funds and I never know one day I may need their assistance it has kept me going, also the great support that I have had of family and friends and also their generosity in sponsorship, I am now appealing to all reading this, even if you can just pledge 1 lira each and every member on this forum does such it will up the funds considerably, so please please help us raise more cash for Tulips, pledges please and donations can be made at Lambussa Market on Saturday at their stall, on Sunday at the Boot Fair at Pine Bay.
