The amount of people that are logged in just now and have nothing to say? I can see only a handful of posts from today...Are we all just waiting for the right thread to pounce on?

I can see only 8 those in capital letters are logged on the others are registered users

Think Soner can answer that one. I am not sure about it. I thought it meant that everyone was 'on line' Never know aboiut the caps, Maybe that is those who have opened the KibKom forum! Come on Soner - elucidate.

Those in bold are online now. The others were online not long ago.

I thought that every user shown was showing everyone that was online.

You are right and I was wrong. All listed are online. I had just logged out and had been removed from list. Logged back in and checked profile of all that were listed and they were all "Online" - as for the bold, I need to work that one out.

I'm always shown on bold at the top. Maybe because I never log out with the kibkom page left open on my phone?

Bubble I see you in the list but you are not in bold on my computer.

Soner, most people who use the forums do not log off but just close the page in the browser. I believe, anyone who has not logged off manually is still shown as "logged on", although they are no longer viewing or participating in the forum...

Well, I can confirm the above as "true" after closing down the page (in Yahoo) without logging off and opening the forum in another browser (Google)! I am asked to log in before posting but my name still shows me as an online registered user in bold letters on top - but I am no longer using the page or the browser.

Conclusion; The previous post confirmed!

Good point, because I never log off, I just close down, I never understood the top bit either, thanks for explaining.

IT'S SIMPLE!

Log In with a new Log In to check if your Old Log In is Logged In or Logged Out and your New Log In is Logged In in Bold or not Logged In while your Old Log In is Logged In in Bold or Logged In or Logged Out in Bold or not.
Remember you can only see Log In's in Bold or not when you are Logged In but check if you are Logged In with your Old Log In or New Log In as you will not see your Old or New Log In depending whether you Are Logged In in Old Log In or New Log In. You can Log Out your Old Log In and New Log In and will then see neither Bold Log In or non Bold Log In as you are not Logged In. If you see both Old Log In and New Log In in Bold Log In you are Logged In in either your Old Log In or New Log In.

Firstly, apologies to Soner, if I have caused you any unwanted grief, that was not my intention.
Secondly, as I forgot to log out last night (hence my being logged in all day and not commenting) , I suppose there is the answer to my original question.

Just to clarify, if you have left forum and not logged out then your name remains but not in bold text. If you have logged in and are viewing pages then your name at top is in bold? Did I understand this correctly or do I need to go with Mr Owl's explanation?

When I closed the browser without logging off and tried to log in using another browser, my name still showed "in bold letters". So I think the bold letters probably carry on until you switch off the computer completely, but me thinks - it really does not matter does it?

OK Owl, you win by a month, but I can't change either. As unlike some posters I don't have a problem with people knowing who I am, I use my real name when advertising for NCCCT events. Bye the way the next Bingo night at Pine Bay is on Monday 20th!!!
