Horrible flu bug around!

After my baby had the flu for 4 days and was very ill with bad cough etc too.
Doctor gave me 3 different meds for her cough , flu, and nose drops to clear airway as very blocked,

She is better now and eating again properly.
But now myself, husband and our son has it coming!

Anybody else had it?

My wife was ill with it for three weeks but thankfully is on the mend now.

Hi

I have had the Flu for 2 weeks now

it hit me really hard, was in bed for a week

ended up taking 2 different types of cough medicine

and a course of antibiotics, which i don't like taking

but glad to say i'm finally on the mend

Same bug in the UK as well now for a few weeks.
I guess Christmas visitors are moving bug in both directions!!!
Takes about 3 weeks to go and can be very bad for the very young and older age groups.
Have had it now for 2 and a half weeks, quite debilitating.
Only symptoms can be treated as the strain of this virus in not covered in the current flu jab

maybe beıng close to me and the rest of my famıly, what can ı do.

she goes to the doctors agaın tomorrow for a control check as the doctor mentıoned that he wanted to see how she ıs from the last vısıt.

my daughters chıld doctor at the hospıtal ın lapta says he would not gıve her antıbıotıcs.

she was gıven..
2 medıcınes
1 as a syrup for the cold and cough. (3 tımes a day)
1 for a juıce lıke a power to mıx (but that smells vıle)!! (2 tımes a day)
and to gıve a lıttle calpol at nıght before bed.

she ıs almost clear now just a cold left.
but ıts the rest of the famıly that needs the all clear all or the poor lıttle gırl wıll maybe catch ıt agaın! (gıvıng and receıvıng!)

Freshly squeezed orange, tangerine juice (for adults add fresh lemon juice - makes taste more bitter) are the best remedy for fighting off the effects and helping quick recovery. A cupful 3 times a day will do wonders. If too bitter for your child and to prevent indigestion add a little water and a spoonful of honey to the juice - that will make it nice taste for the young ones and break the acidity.

Citrus fruit is rich in Vitamin C which is a known combatant of flu/cold effects. It strengthens the body's immunity...

For coughs, I suggest you brew dried thyme together with dried mint and aniseed (+ a small piece of cinnamon stick would also help) - adding honey as required. Best cure as a hot drink..

but yes lemon ın tea
or lemon ın hot water wıth honey ıs great for the cold ı have to agree.
ı wıll be goıng the shop later to get some lemons and honey.

natural Flu remedy for adults only, great taken before bed.

In a normal drinking mug or heat proof glass.
3 fingers of dark alcohol, whiskey, rum or local brandy
Two teaspoons of honey.
2 fingers of lemon juice, fresh best. and top up with nearly boiling water till mug or glass is half full.

For children leave out the booze.
Honey treats cough and lemon is vitamin C
Tastes ok as well.
