Why Oh why ?
Oh dear a thread to complain. Grrr. I have just spent 5 mins or 4 mins typing a reply to the smoking thread, posted it then it vanished. Why is it that this keeps happening, yes I do know how to reply and I have made a few posting tonight but I so find it annoying to type something, feel its a good reply then post and ''' Whooshhhh '' its gone to cyber heaven with so many others of mine, even photos. !
Is there no one behind the screens that can see these posting that do not appear ? and can they just not put the blooming things on for us or ME !
Maybe this is one reason that I just do not bother to post.
Am I the only one. How blooming annoying it is.

Re: Why Oh why ?
It seems like a big web of cyberspace deception, doesn't it. Spider? It has happened to be and infuriating, but just sometimes I have found that if I click on the back button on the top left hand corner, the posting is sitting there waiting for me to submit it again. So do try that, but it has to be at the time of the loss (I think).
Soner is the one to really answer this and at the moment he is working hard on putting tomorrow's edition of KibKom Times together.
But I just want you to know you are not alone on the lonely planet of typing losses! I have been there and it makes one weep. All that deep thought and concern gone , seemingly for ever.
But don't give up. Please! And as I say, just try clicking on that back button at the time.

2 suggestions.
1. Type your reply in notepad or wordpad or word and only transfer it to the forum when it is complete - that way you have a copy
2. Before clicking 'submit', block through your message and press Control 'C' - that will make a copy in your clipboard which you can retrieve with Control 'V'.

This has happened to me on occasion but seems to be when I taken to long typing a reply and looks like the page is timed out. Easiest way, before you submit the reply is to highlight the message and then if you are using a mouse right lick, and click copy, then if you do lose the message you can just start again and right click the mouse and click paste in the typing area.

I think it times out on long messages, I will look into this. But I find that if you click back twice the message is still there and you can submit.

Maybe it was divine intervention - remember God is a non-smoker

I agree with the notepad post, if you find yourself taking some time just type it there then transfer when finished

As a theologian am glad to see that god is'he' or 'she' and not 'it'. Without going into a great debate as to what one should call 'god' other than Yahweh (I am), I think this is an instance where one might quote Shakespeare. 'A rose by any other name would msell as sweet; and is the case of God , he remains the same whatever appellation may be given.

Another option, type it, highlight, copy then post, If you lose it you will be able to paste from your clipboard
