Phenomenon

In all my many years on this earth I have never seen the phenomenon that I was fortunate enough to see last night.I had reason to go out into the garden last night and looked up into the sky and the moon had, what I have since read on the internet,a large halo encircling it.It was quite amazing.Did anybody else see it?For those that didn't see this amazing site you can see photo's on the internet.Just type in 'halo around the moon'.

I had never seen this in England but have seen it on a number of occasions now in Cyprus. Certainly a wonderful sight to behold.

Totally agree the moon really did look awesome last night - why do I never think to take photo's of such amazing things when I see them!

Yes I saw it too, it was a huge circle seemingly formed by light cloud with the moon at its centre. I can't work out what would cause such a thing, any boffins here who can explain please.
