I imagine that most of you have read last Saturdays Cyprus Today, and were as shocked as i was to read the front page story about the Welsh couple stripping the house of a sick elderly couple? Well, this post is not about what they did, but just an attempt to find the 3 dogs that are missing.

I am asking everyone to keep your eyes open and if you see any of them please call me on 0533 833 1292.

I respectively ask everyone to not discuss these peoples action on this thread (i believe there is one already open) as it is an ongoing investigation, and the police are doing what they can.

So please if you see them, do call me.

The brown one is called Roxy, and has clipped ears. Do not be afraid of her appearance as she is extremely friendly.
The black one is called Barney, he is rather timid, and may need a little coaxing.
The black and white pointer, who has a distinct white stripe down her face, is called Pickles and is also very friendly.

will certainly keep my eyes open for these dogs, what a dreadful thing to happen to them. Is there any further information about what happened to the dogs? Were they just let out or were they taken somewhere and if so where, it might be helpful to try to pinpoint an area.

As you obviously know these animals very well, I would suggest that you go up to the KAR centre and see if you recognise them as having been brought in as strays. If they were taken off the street by the Dog Warden , then they would have been neautered or speyed, had their red tag inserted and taken back to where they were originally picked up. Either way, it is certainly a place to start your enquiries. KAR are always getting dogs in where the staff say "he/she understands English instructions". Good Luck.

Ok, will keep an eye out for them, hopefully they will still be ok. Is anyone back in the house now, as maybe they might return to their home.

We are over in Catalkoy and will certainly be looking out for them and asking others to do the same.
Let's hope that we are not too late for these poor dogs.

Do you have a rough idea when they might have been let loose, as I think I saw them twice in the last part of December. I was out walking Ice and saw these 3 dogs and made a hasty retreat as didn't know them and 2 were big. I remembered them, as there was a large black one and a coloured one, but did not get close enough to see if it had Pickles markings and another one, but it was the 2 big ones that caught my eye. If it was them, then the goodish news is that they have stayed together. If you go past Lapta Belediyesi and keep going up to Baspinar, past my house and further up (before you get to Baspinar) is a goat farm on the right, with a dirt track that leads to I know not where, except it keeps going downhill. I used to walk down there with Ice, and each time I saw them coming up the dirt track from below, which would have been roughly the area that they come from. I walked down there today but didn't see them, but will keep a look out for you.

Rowan....Two of the dogs have not been seen since a week or two of this couple moving in...so it's been quite a long time, and i do realise that this is a long shot.

Sophie, if i go to KAR, i will either leave with a broken heart, or 15 puppies!! But i do believe KAR are aware of these dogs.

Stellastar, they have definitely not returned to their home No one, seriously, no one apart from the people living in the house at the time, has any idea where they might be...it could be the mountains or freaking China...this is what is sooo darned frustrating, and no one is talking!!

There is also a post in the lost and found section on this site concerning the same dogs, however if you see, or might have seen these dogs, please call me, as the owners are not here in Cyprus at the moment.

Sadly the Pitbull I am referring to was found a bit longer than 3 weeks ago, so not sure its the same one.

can someone please check this out. Sometimes we are not sure of times etc and it is worth a shot in case it is Roxy.

Daisy Dukes, try not to lose the plot, we need your help. Having said that I would have already lost the plot if this had happened to my dogs.

Just a thought, are any of the dogs chipped?

I was at KAR all day on Thursday but did not see any dog which looked like these three, but I did not see all the dogs, there are so may there.

Do we not have clue at all about where they were dumped, I am assuming that is what happened and why was Roxy not dumped with the other two? Is that woman really not saying where they were? How very callous is that.

Sorry, I ask a lot of questions but need to be as clear as I can be about what happened. I have been out this afternoon looking but saw nothing.

Louise, please chase up everything you have seen...a teeny tiny lead is better than nothing at all!!

Rowan these are my parents dogs, as far as we believe Barney and pickle dissappeared about beginning of dec we don't know why as they was the best! Roxy was tied up out the front of my parents we believe used as a guard dog as was seen about 3 weeks ago there ! They are all spayed and castrated .

Hi, Just to clarify this was going back to July/August. Reading the thread it cant have been Roxy, but I can still go and check if the dog is still where it was?

Whilst out walking in Alsancak earlier to-day there is a black dog,very similar to the pic on here.We called Barney,he came running,unfortunatly would only come to about 25/30 metres.Directions:Coming from Golden Lady,turn left toward Acmenya,carry on to r/about,turn left,carry on for a bout 250metres,take first left.Was down there at 13-00ish.Hope it is him.

I do hope that was him, what kind of condition did he appear to be in?

Looked very similar condition to the pic.If we could have caught him,we would have looked after him until someone came to look.Unfortunatly,we are going to UK early Tuesday so will not be around for 22 days.Will have a look again tomorrow.

Oh I do ho-pe so. Sorry I can't rush up there, but hope someone nearby can.

I'm just heading that way so will go and have a look.

I have walked along the sea front and looked everywhere in the location given and I even asked the workmen
who are working on the Lapta walkway....no sign of Roxy.

So far 4 people have been that way, but no joy...but if anyone is passing, please keep your eyes open x

Do people live in these caravans permanently, maybe they have seen the dog?

I've been back around the goat farm where i thought I'd seen them a couple of times, but nothing, but if we all keep looking maybe one of us will get lucky.

How is it that there are so many stray dogs about, yet when you go looking for lost dogs, they can never be found.

I just thinking the same stellastar1.

I went to look to see if Roxy was anywhere near the caravan site yesterday as suggested in an earlier post....no sign.

Later on in the day I was coming back from Lapta and just as I got to the end of the Lapta strip at the Lambousa turning I spot a dog that I thought matched Roxy's photo.
It was out for an evening walk with about 4 other dogs, all wearing collars.
I jumped out of the car and started calling "Roxy, Roxy, good boy, come here" (as you do!!)
Didn't even look at me, too interested on going walkies with his friends.
Followed the pack and one of the other dogs came and sat in front of me and wagged its tail....not the one I thought was Roxy.

So frustrating....but will keep on looking.

Thank you for everyone who's looking , roxy is girl who loves people more than dogs ,so if you called her and she didn't come my guess is it wasn't roxy x

I have 2 male dogs and 1 female and I often tell the female she's a good boy!!

Have all three missing dogs pictures in the car and like a lot of people will keep looking.

I've got it in the car as well, plus a collar and lead and some food - just in case.

Quick move back up.

Saw Barney on the main road near the schools in Alsancak yesterday....he was with two other dogs, but not Roxy and Pickle.
