I have a Black Lab, brought him from England two and a half years ago. He never gets out of my sight, but my gate has been left open once or twice and I've managed to catch him in the nick of time. I will keep my eyes open for you, as well as the other poor dogs on here that are reported missing. There aren't many Black Labs here so shouldn't be hard to miss. Have you thought about printing off some posters and asking Starling and surrounding places to advertise the poster for you. Also, put posters on your car windows if you have one, also friends cars. I would say that you need to act fast for a chance of your dog being returned. Also, contact Kar and ask them to be aware in case your dog is handed in there as a stray.

There was a big,black labrador, with a brown collar, playing with the other dogs at Mare Monte this morning. There were the usual four or five, but only the biggest had a collar. I'll see if he's there tomorrow and call him by name. I'll post again if I see him.

I do hope he is still round and that it is him! Good luck in finding him.

I was walking my lab on a lead with 2 Cyprus poodles about 10am this morning. I was in the section directly in front of the hotel. There was a large black dog free running over near the tombs but it was far away and did not know if it was a lab or not.

Reminds me of Mel Gibson screaming "FREEEEEDOOOOM!" just before he was beheaded!

I was back near Mare Monte at 7.00 am, and the usual group were playing, but they were heading towards the Fishponds and Tombs so couldn't really be identified. However, there were definitely 2 larger black dogs with them, one was very long-legged and not a labrador, but the other could have been, and of course, it's no distance from Starling and that area.

many thanks to everybody for attention. i found him by printing papers with dog picture and tel number. now its proven effective. but the sad thing he has huge wounds as burned legs probably at siba chemical storage. vet says he will need few weeks to recover.

Oh that's excellent news. A real shame that he's been hurt, but back with his owner and will be getting plenty of TLC.

Sorry to hear he is injured, but so glad at least he is alive, I am sure with tlc he will be fine.

Labs are the best

How are his legs now. Hope they are getting better?

Did you go to Siba by any chance. They can't be keeping their chemicals safe if a dogs legs are burned. Possibly containers leaking, who knows?

Hope not as they had a large fire a couple of years ago and we were all choking with the fumes.
