I have wooden shutters on the outside of all doors and windows but wondered if I could have Mossie screens fitted as well? Does anyone have experience of this? Can anyone recommend a company that can supply and fit them?
many thanks

They have an advert on here, on page with the topics on it, right hand side of page near the top.

Click on it and it should take you to their website.

Thanks folks - checked that out. However does anyone have experience of having these fitted over double glazing plus outdoor wooden shutters and what sort of cash outlay am I looking at?
Many thanks.
cheers

Hi, I would like to get some feedback too as we need to have some put in. Are there other recommended companies that do good quality fly-screens?

Also for those who have had them put in, what type have you fitted say for smaller windows? As far as I know, there are ones that roll-up? Or ones that slide?

Cheers

I note that Tescomar do have a website and pics of the screens but no mention of cost etc. I will be going out there soon and follow it all up in person - will keep you informed what I find.

Blue Island in Catalkoy fitted screens for my friend last year the sliding type they are very happy with them, for 2 patio doors two smaller windows and the front door and bathroom was about 2000tl.I had one roll up one and had it removed it was a pain. Dont have a number but they are just past the Malpas turning.

Please make sure you ask for 18 gauge if you also want to keep sand-flies out... It's easy to check, just put a ruler up against the netting and you should be able to count eighteen squares per inch. If you can't then it's probably 16 gauge and that's not really fine enough.... Also make sure all the edges seal properly when the screens are closed. If not there's not point in having the screens at all.

We had our arched windows and patio doors fitted with screens last year, by the guy who has a PVC glazing & doors shop in Girne, just off, and about halfway-down, the road between the Leflosa roundabout, and the roundabout at the top of the High Street.
They were not cheap, but they do the job, although the main cost is that they have made use of the patio doors impossible, while they are in place.
