There is a Pakistani shop in town where you can buy 1KG bags of Basmati Rice for 7TL. Go through town down the one way system until you reach the Barbaroslar supermarket on your left hand side, on the corner. Turn left here and it is a small shop set back from the road on your right hand side.

Thanks guys. I will check these out. I was hoping for 5 or 10 kg bags but it looks like I will have to settle for 1kg.

As Deniz says supreme sell bigger bags-5kg I think.
Alternately, why not ask your local Indian Restaurant where they get theirs from,or if you know one well enough they might get some for you?

Please everybody, remember to wash your rice several times under cold running water. the particular bacteria it carries does not get killed by cooking, hence so many upset tummies when eating out!

Very true.
Also my tc mother inlaw searches the rice before cooking as carries small stones mixed inside it.
She mainly cooks (eco) rice.
I was suprised, because before I came to Cyprus I used to just plonk the rice straight in the pan of water to cook lol
Now I cook the rice their way and also learning something new about the rice cleaning here.
