I've seen a sign for a Dragon restaurant in Lefkosa - it's on right hand side of main road from boulder roundabout into the town centre. Can't remember exactly where it is but if you get to Onder supermarket you've gone too far - I have a feeling it is between the Merit Hotel and Onder.
I can recommend SushiCo which is on the same street as Deniz Plaza in Lefkosa - it serves Sushi, Thai and Chinese food - the website is
http://www.sushico.com.tr/restoranlarim ... ran=Kibris for menus and directions.
Firsatkibris have an offer on a couple of SushiCo dishes today

Hi
Anyone been here yet? Called in looks very nice but walked out again after looking at the prices on the menu!
Will wait for some feedback before parting with our hard earned cash.

You will find that in this lovely part of the island Chinese food is rather expensive.
I have been to the Chinese house a few times and the ambience - food and service is excellent.
It is not a place that you would go to every night but it is well worth a visit.
Let us all know if you go there, your thoughts.

We went to the new Dragon at Karakum the restaurant is stunning. However the food was not very good & it was expensive. It's back to the Chinese House for us!

While I agree it is not the same thing, there is a couple who sell Chinese food at Lambousa market every Saturday from about 9:30am. The food is excellent, freshly prepared and reasonably priced. Not a huge selection but very highly recommended. They happily take telephone orders in advance so you can avoid disappointment.

We went to the Dragon, 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the price was the same as a 3 course meal with drinks in an average restaurant here. The secret of Chinese food is go with a few people and share the food, but that is when it generally gets expensive, we has already discussed favourite dishes and the only problem occurred when one who likes spare ribs took more than 1 rib and another kindly went without. We all thought food, service and surrounds were fantastic and even ended up 30 minutes at the end of the evening outside chatting to the owner. To us it was lovely to feel special and not a pain having a late table then wanting to stay to the early hours chatting over coffee.

Baroosh bar in Lapta do a monthly Chinese night - it's 'buffet style' and comes highly recommended.

We tried the Chinese House for a second time - both times we felt the food was poor the quality of meat wasn't very good. The service is good however. We wont be going back....

Went to the new Dragon Restaurant last night and have to say very impressed. This is something that is needed here, a change from the usual full kebab/meze which is everywhere (much as I do like them in some places). This really was a refreshing change. Yes, maybe a little pricey but excellent service, really lovely food, wine prices on a par with others, staff were lovely, and at the end of the day you get what you pay for. Its a dreary looking building from the outside but inside is really classy. Will certainly be going back - and soon. It was good to find that they were fully booked for the evening, although got us in for 6.30. Could not fault it really.

Have been to China House twice and did not particularly enjoy the meal, tasted artificial. I see the Laughing Buddah sign is up again has it re opened, now that was a good Chinese meal?

We agree with Ozankoys, it is a lovely restaurant. A group of 4 of us went on a Friday night, the bill came to just over 400TL with drinks which we didn't think was too bad, as the food we had that night was excellent - 70TL per person set menu with a couple of choices per section, there was enough food on each plate for us all to have a try of too, sample starters were complimentary, sweets were 10TL. We booked for 7pm and by 8pm the place was full, lots of locals and still packed with people waiting at the bar for a table when we left around 10pm.
Would certainly go again for a special night.
