Just to make everybody aware, two neighbouring villa's were broken into early hours of this morning. Only went for money as laptops/dvd's/TV's etc were left. Handbags rifled through and left in gardens, it seam's they entered through patio doors(one left open and one dodgy catch) sometime between 02.00 and 06.30. We are on the far side of Ozankoy towards Catalkoy.

This also happened a couple of years ago with houses in karsiyaka. They took nothing but money.
We got broken into while we were sleeping.
No bank cards or any valuables were taken just money.
I would suppose the police could possibly trace things but money no as that would be spent.

The "ooops" who almost made it into our house got 10 years apiece. They had done (or attempted) 32 houses.
Ten years in a Turkish prison? Best of luck guys.
They were caught because a sensible jeweller called the police.

I also live in Ozankoy, not far from Rafters, my Turkish neighbour knocked on my door this evening to let me know that he had also been broken into, but they didn't get very far as he has an alsation dog and it appears that the person was scared off ! I think we all tend to get a bit complacent living here, I certainly do, but have locked up well tonight !!

They look intimidating, but would probably lick you to death. Don't answer that on here in case the burglar is reading!!!

Yes I thought the same thing, the only fighting going on would be between them, each trying to get to you first for a stroke.

Well, the look of Max combined with a couple of these signs around the fence should do the trick without a single bark. Nobody needs to know details

Tom, I have one question I cant seem to figure out. Why in the world you would want Romanian language signs in Cyprus???
As to give you a general answer, these can be 'redesigned' in any language. You can get them printed on glossy paper on any copy shop, like magictouch and should last a few months. Better solutions would be to get them printed on styrofoam type of material at an advertising place, but I would assume even those would fade away eventually under cyprus sun.
So lets start a dog in every house initiative, to keep burglars away. Its a win-win situation
