Cost of driving license renewal?
Hi there, i was hoping someone maybe able to let me know the cost of renewing my Turkish Cypriot driving license. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks

Just did ours this morning!
Costs are: 1 year = 124.10TL, 2 yrs = 185.20TL, 3 yrs = 246.30TL & 5 yrs = 370.50TL, 10 yrs = sorry did look at the price but think it may be about 670TL
We had to take photocopies of our id (in our case our Permanent Residency Kimlik Cards) and we needed 2 photo's but be warned if you are smiling or show your teeth in your photo they will not accept it.
They were also turning people away who had coloured backgrounds instead of plain white/cream and also if your picture is too big as they need to trim it down to fit onto the licence without losing any of your features.
Do it asap as the prices are going up next month.
We have been told to go back in one month to collect our new licences, the staff must be very busy

Just renewed mine, asked for 5 years, refused as a "foreigner" and was only allowed to buy a 3 year licence.

Can you renew it before it runs out? Mine is due in April but if the cost is set to rise next month it would be nice to do it now. Anyone know?

The prices I gave were next years didnt give the 5yrs as I know ex pats cannot get that.

As I mention in my post: I gave the current prices before the rise that is due to take place next month.
@ Elkinton - Both my husband and I have Permanent Residency Kimlik cards and therefore were eligible for 5yr driving licences
@ Smiler - Ours were due to expire on 9th March 2014 and we applied today. The new one, according the paperwork we received, will start on 10th March 2014. We have been instructed to go back in 1 month to collect it but going by past experience it won't necessarily be ready then and we will have to go back numerous times before we get them in our hands!
