Hi All

I am interested in Automatic Robotic Swimming Pool cleaners.
We have a 25x10 metre shared pool on our complex and I am doing some research for our group, can you give me some information I can share with our villa owners. Cost to buy/hire in TRNC (if that is possible) - anything that would be useful.

i like you shopped around then came to the obvious decision to buy one and have it shipped from the uk , top of the range even after shipping and import tax still 40% cheaper than here .

the best purchase i made lasy year , i was not prepared to be a slave to my pool or rely on others to do it for me, just drop it in the pool walk away come back 2/3 hours later , pool sparkling clean .

how often do you clean the filter and do a back wash, is this easy and how do you know how much chemical to put into pool ?

All pool people are pretty awful here in North. dont do what they say .

Sorry, but I have to disagree that "all" pool companies are awful. Cyprus Pools built my pool and have maintained it since 2000.In fact one of the guys is still coming since day one. He used to come twice a week, then said as I was the only one using it, once was enough. He has given me his own number, so if I have any problems in between visits, I can call him. He has been called a couple of time and always come out asap. He fills in a time sheet every visit and I always sign for any chemicals etc delivered.

Good grief Owl Lady, you have a real little gem there. I'd should keep quiet about him if I were you, or we'll want to piece.

have friends that use a so called pool man, he only goes there occasionally in winter he is paid i think to do every week . They say he always has an excuse why the family ill, aunty is dying, niece in hospital divorce, and says yes hes been . So one of these pool things might be better than these half a job men.

Chelwood, could you give me the name and model of your robotic pool cleaner, and price please?

We've also used the same company for about 10 years,they come once a week in winter and twice in summer.If i have a problem,a phone call and the boss comes round within hours.

Just as a matter of interest, does your pool company/man take the grating up and remove all the leaves and debris, plus clean the wire grate over the exit water hole in the channel, plus brush down the side of your pools.

Our pool man takes both the baskets out of the skimmer exits and cleans them,if that's what you mean and also cleans the tiles on the pool sides with long handled brush but i must admit he doesn't do that every visit.Also as we've used him for so long i only pay him once a year in arrears and i have to phone to insist that he comes and collects his money.

Hi Sophie, my little treasure does all that, and takes my bin bag of rubbish up to the skip each week!!!
