Shipping Container/could share from UK & Yr experiences?

I will shortly be organizing shipment of around half the contents of a 4 bedroom house from Surrey within the M25.

Been quoted for a 20 foot container (likely still have space as a lot cleared), buy maybe 40 foot is not that much more cost wise.

Just wondering if there is anyone around looking to ship same?

Currently Dolphin movers are preparing a quote, but what are people's experiences? Any recommendations.

Glad all went for you. Unfortunately, it did not go so well for me, my goods "disappeared" from Olaytrans.

I feel you are in the lap of the removal Gods when looking for a company to ship your stuff, I read loads of people's experiences (good and bad)when looking to ship our worldly goods out, but decided to go with Dolphins as they carry your stuff overland.

I have no complaints they came and loaded our goods ( I packed all our stuff myself) onto their lorry, took them to their depot, reweighed, labelled them and gave us the final amount to be paid, which was not much more than their quote.
Our goods left the UK and arrived in Istanbul only to be held up by Bayram, they arrived in Famagusta a few days later and took a few more days to clear because of the backlog due to Bayram.

If we went to the office in Karakum to ask about our stuff and they were always helpful in letting us know what was happening. The agent in Famagusta was efficient and clearing our stuff through customs was quite painless really, they delivered our stuff the following day.
We got our own insurance to cover loss/damage of our goods, as Dolphins insurance quote was almost the same cost as it was to ship our goods!

I mean gone for ever. Just vanished. "We will leave no stone unturned etc, etc". Unfortunately they clearly missed a stone.
