I have just been informed that the old lady whose children cause lots of problems in Karsiyaka has died. Apparently she was jumped on by the children causing her leg/s to break. She died on the way to hospital. RIP

Regardless of the problems that this family caused in Karsiyaka, what an awful way to be treated by your own grandchildren.
I hope they are in Lapta polis station and will not see the light of day for a long time.
As you say, poor soul may she rest in peace.

This is so sad. The old b***er used to come to our gate and Christine gave her a glass of milk then she wandered off again. She often used to chatter away to us but we could never get a handle on what she was saying, probably the dialect thing.
Last year the 2 thugs put her in hospital for 10 days after beating and raping her. The police did nothing! The two keep getting locked up for minimal sentences as if the judiciary do not want to deal with them for whatever reason. If they do nothing this time it will not be long before they either do something that will really get them caught or someone will catch them while on a burglary and the poor innocent victim will end up being locked up for assault or worse.
It is sad that we do not know the old lady's name but she is now at peace.

This family are completely dis functional. Grandmother, daughter and her grandsons. Think the daughter dropped the charges of grandsons raping and breaking grandmothers leg, but surely police could have taken them to court themselves. Both boys are mentally unstable, and dangerous. I have known them since childhood. They have been causing mayhem in Karsiyaka for many years. Grandmother buried yesterday, no sign of daughter at funeral. What a tragic situation all round.

If I remember correctly this was the family that trashed a friend's garden in Karsiyaka, throwing pots and plants into the pool and of course, there were no witnesses. But what a tragic end for this unfortunate lady. Surely if the police had done something earlier, her death would have been prevented. Tragic!
By the way, I cannot connect to the link Soner. Must be my computer.

The lady's name is Fatma Karadag and according to head stone was born on 8th June 1936.
I have just been told that Cyprus Today used Fatma as an example of abuse of women in their piece on International Womans Day. May be they can follow up with this abuse leading to a dreadful death.
Several years ago we stopped one of the thugs hitting her outside of our house and on another occasion a friend got out of our car in the middle of Karsiyaka to stop the same thing happening, right in front of the full coffee shop. It seems there was nobody prepared to stop the regular abuse of this elderly lady, even the police appeared to turn away because their hands were tied by "legal terms".
Fatma is now at rest but her daughter and grand sons will reap their rewards later.

RIP Fatma, I am very sad to read this news. I have just heard that the police were called again to their house at the weekend after the boys caught, tortured and killed another dog...nothing was done. What will it take before these boys are removed from society for the protection of those around them and probably themselves. They are clearly very disturbed young men.

How very, very sad. Unfortunately this lady frightened me when she crept around the back of my house one day last year, and I reacted by sending her away, as I had read she could have been a front for her sons' burglaries. If only I had known what she was suffering at the hands of her own family I would gladly have given her something..for whatever that would have been worth. I will not sleep easily in my home anymore knowing that these men are at loose and can break into my home at any time. As has already been said, has someone, human or animal, to suffer some worse tragedy before they take these guys off the streets?

Why is it that the Girne prosecutor can persecute a couple for 2 years destroying their health and marriage because he alleged that they stole a tin of paint and a couple of pieces of wood and at the end the judge simply said his witnesses were "not reliable" and found the defendant innocent.
Yet here we have 2 thugs who are the cause of most petty robberies in the local area, and found guilty spending jail time on several occasions, they regularly abuse, torture, seriously assault, rape and ultimately are probably responsible for killing their grand mother but they are still at home. Not only that they continue their ritual of torturing and killing dogs.
WHEN IS THE JUDICIARY GOING TO DO SOMETHING BEFORE THEY KILL AGAIN.
