Driving License renewal query

Need to renew our driving licenses. I realise I need to fill out a form take my p/port residency etc.
Really can't recall whether or not I had to take new photos last time.
Advice from anyone who has recently renewed would save a wasted journey.
Thanks in advance

Very helpful at licence office. They have the form to fill out in English. You do need new photos, plus copies of your photo page and residency from your passport, plus your old licence. Strange one - you must not be showing your teeth in the photo!! Oh, don't forget - goodly amounts of money!!

If expat (ie, non-TC) maximum of 3 years licence.

Sorry tomsteel,

Slight amendment to your message;

Only those with a KKTC card can apply for 5 or 10 years and if you are an expat with a Permanent Residency Kimlik Card, this does include you.

We applied in Feb 2014 for 5 years driving licences - no problem at all.

Scoobydo, off topic I know but can you help please? You have made mention of a permanent residency kimlic card, the first time I have heard of one! I am going for (depending on current talks outcome) permanent residency this Sept. Do the immigration still issue cards or has it now gone to a stamp in the passport? How long ago did you gain permanent residency? Thanks.

Waddo,

As your question is off topic and as a courtesy to Bonnie and her question, I have sent you a private message.

However, please feel free to pm me back if you have any further queries.

Sue

Decent of you make that consideration but need not have worried. My query was answered adequately by sourbrandy, (thank you sourbrandy)
Sometimes one topic leads to another. I would have been interested to hear your answer to waddo as I'm sure would others.
