This also caught my eye :

Apparently, because the graduating class at the prestigious southside English School (of Nicosia) vandalised the school in a recent party, the class' graduation ceremony (planned for the 27th of June) has been cancelled.
According to a GC newspaper (from where this TC web site took the story) during the party the students threw eggs at each other, "decorated" the building with tolilet paper, wrote grafitti on the walls, glued shut a number of doors and arranged for a truck to empty its load of sand into the school's garden.
The school's management felt that cancelling the ceremony would serve as a warning to deter future classes from acting in the same way.
