Having only previously used Pegasus to go to UK from Ercan when we travel with nearly empty cases it has never been a issue. However we are using them to fly to Dubai this time & will have a lot more luggage - are they as strict as they are at Stansted?

Hate to not give a definitive answer but, have traveled and have been a couple of kilo's and not a word said, another time had to move stuff into hand luggage where luckily we had room. They also once tried to charge us for golf clubs (when they were free) but luckily I had info on me. May be best to buy excess luggage in advance? So once again it really is a question of what mood the person is in, on the day!

Flew with them from Ercan back to Stansted mid last year and I've never seen so much excess baggage being loaded on and no-one batted an eyelid. Most of it was with people only going as far as Turkey though. I suspect I couldn't have got away with it, so like "cuppa" I can't give a definitive answer I'm afraid.

Ozankoys. Have a look at General rules for Pegasus and go to the drop down "Baggage & moveable materials" then "Allowed & Excess Baggage" it gives UAE or similar. Might help to give you an idea. Regards Sylvie

I am not one of the worlds jet set, but haveflown a little with Pegasus. I always find it depends on the check in clerk - simple as that. And conversely coming back form U.K on Pegasus, the guys in front of me were given right 'stick' and had to pay a load for excess baggage. She smiled at me and got me to decant some of my suitcase into handluggage and that was that. Maybe I have a face that says'help'. Seriously, there are rules, and we should try to stick to them, but when, like me, you buy a load of stuff to bring home and have no chance to weigh it, then maybe that is not so bad as someone trying to pull a fast one.
Guess it is best to find the rules and try to stick to them.
Good luck.

last year I dropped my friend off at Ercan to return to UK and she was charge £22 for excess of what was only a fairly small amount weight wise. However they did not have change of £30 so she was allowed to goo through without paying anything! LOL!
You just never know with them. I would print off the weight allowances and take it with you and also weigh , weigh and weigh before flying - or buy excess in advance.
Certainly I have a number of times had to pay excess flying into Ercan from Stansted , when only a couple of kilos over. Yes, I agree rules are rules but, I saw so many people before me with hand luggage that looked like hold luggage go through without any problems!
