Does anybody know what has happened to ' you tube'
It seems lost!

It was on the news that Turkey has banned it! Whether that affects the TRNC, who knows?

I keep trying and trying but it don't let me in.
Nothing wrong with my Internet as I'm brousing through search engines now.

Turkey just banned youtube.

Multimax is not affected by laws and restrictions of Turkey, but this is not the same with all providers.

If you are with another provider, there is not much you can do as most ISPs are too attached with providers in Turkey, and suffering as a result.

If you are with Multimax, your problem is most probably something else, contact us.

No I'm not with multi max, we are with 'real net' but only got untill June then we renew (if we choose too still be with them)
But it was working fine last night and morning it's blocked!
I tried the desk top aswell as my phone its all the same.

I'm with Multimax.

Normally and logically, it shouldnt affect N.Cyprus BUT;

Some providers are too attached to Turkish Telekom TTnet in Turkey. Instead of paying little money to get their own resources for Internet, they use TTnets instead.

Even though Multimax also uses Turk Telekom for Internet, we own our own resources and have our own presence on the Internet and we go 'transit' through Turkey, an option that some other providers do not have as they use TTnets resources and not their own.

You should call your ISP, but I am not sure there is much they can offer.

I am with Nethouse and no problem with YouTube or Twitter.

Also with nethouse and no problems, there is a way round it if you download expat shield you should be able to pick it up from there.

This is really really strange because now its 21.25pm and its opened for me now
But all day from 8am morning when I looked it was blocked with captions saying this and gov... All in red and blue writing.
I'm glad it's ok now but so strange as it was announced on the radio about the block on you tube aswell.
Maybe it's ok here in the TRNC after all.
