lights in the sky

Does anybody KNOW what the bright light that appeared off the Alsancak coast at about 9:30 last night was? It appeared to move West -East and disappeared suddenly leaving what looked like a cone-shaped smoky trail behind it, followed within a couple of minutes by at least 3 small planes circling in the area in which it disappeared. It was certainly too big to be "candle balloon"

My husband saw this as well while out fishing, so did did a couple of his friends, one took a photo the other a video, they have posted it on facebook, which has caused great discussion. I will try and get a copy of the photo and post it on here. It is very odd.

Seeing as The Dog Walker posted this on Friday morning, "last night" would have been Thursday night ... and (according to the link below) "on Thursday night a mysterious light was seen over several countries in the Middle East, and this has now been confirmed by multiple sources as a Russian intercontinental ballistic missile test."
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/uf ... 58627.html
If you look at the video on the link, then you can see that the missile did leave "what looked like a cone-shaped smoky trail behind it"(TDW). Maybe though, TDW and Kiwikid's husband saw something else because the missile was 100s of km overhead, not just "off the Alsancak coast", and it wouldn't explain why the small planes appeared.

The photos and video I have seen are exactly what are in the video and photos on the links above, will have to show husband, just to prove he wasn't going crazy.
