anyone know how to re-new a UK passport when living in north cyprus

You have to go on this link https://www.gov.uk/overseas-passports fill out the application, pay online then print it off and send it to the address given. It does take a while to come back and using the online service to find out what is happening with the passport is useless. I sent mine off over a month ago and every time i sign on to check it still says waiting for information from applicant, when i rang to find out if it even got there they said it had, after being on hold forever and that it is still waiting to be assessed, to wait another month before ringing again if i haven't got it back.

I recently renewed mine but decided against doing it from here I flew to the UK instead sent it through the post office passport renewal desk and had it back in 5 days. Very quick and no having to wait so long.

I did the same as above although I booked appointment at passport office done in 4 hours ...

I have another 4 yrs to go on mine and will not go back to the uk so guess I will have to do it online and wait.
