Deep Purple concert
Is anyone else have difficulty getting tickets?
I registered 5 names and only received 1 ticket, a friend registered for 2 and only received 1. I have written over 15 emails to the info email, and a lady called Ismet who I spoke to gave me her personal email to make sure the names that I am trying to register got tickets, and she hasn't replied either.
Starting to think if they cant organize the tickets then the whole event could be a disaster.

Re: Deep Purple concert
That's my understanding too as each ticket barcode has to be matched by a proof of ID on arrival... i.e. one barcode can not suffice for several attendees. Therefore each person must apply with their own email address I would think.ITFCMike wrote:Think you will find it`s one ticket per email address

I applied when the news first broke weeks ago, have not received a thing. Is it supposed to come through on an email? Should I try again do you think?

Got mine pretty much by reply, check your spam box. I think it was 1 e-mail per applicant.
Some are wise and some otherwise.....

Sour Brandy, if there is nothing in your spam box then re-apply again. Once you register it tells you registration is successful, and then you will receive confirmation in your junk, you will then receive another mail in your junk that gives you the ticket. At least that is how it worked for me today.

Re: Deep Purple concert
I applied when the tickets first went on the website and my partner did too on his own email address at the same time. We both received confirmation of registration emails in our junk email. Then he received his ticket weeks ago but I have not. I telephoned the number on the website and spoke to someone who gave me the number of a person who was dealing with it. She said that it didn't matter if you had not received your ticket as it was a free concert. When I said we had to register online she said that was just for their benefit, to give them an idea on how many would be going. They had experienced a problem with their server but to just turn up and you don't even need your passport! I don't believe that for a second and am also getting the feeling that the organisation is going to be a nightmare. Can someone please give the correct address to email to ensure i get my ticket.

Re: Deep Purple concert
Ham on Brown. I don't know if there is anything organised. I contacted Serhan from Bellapais Taxi and he has quoted 500TL for a bus of 22 people from Catalkoy to Near east.
We are 5 people so if there are enough numbers perhaps we can get the 22 seater.
If there are not enough numbers then we are looking for 2 more to share our 7 seater taxi that we will use.

Re: Deep Purple concert
I have just tried to register using the link given by Ham on brown (thanks for that), however, when I click on the register button nothing happens. I have also tried to register my hubby and 2 friends using the same email address, clicked the button and nothing happened again. I am thinking that fesenjan is probably right that this is simply a way of finding out how many people are likely to attend, although the registration does allow for sleeping bags and tents to be booked, neither of which we want. I hate to think what the organisation is going to be like on the night, as if they are seriously going to check ID and booking whilst also trying to sort out tents and sleeping bags, they will need hundreds of staff there. I have attended many concerts in the UK many years ago, so one thing I do hope is that they have adequate toilet facilities especially if they are expecting 150,000. Car parking will be a nightmare too I suspect, but I am going to give it a go, ticket or no ticket.

Re: Deep Purple concert
Mrs Gee, each name has to have its own email address, I did what you did and only received 1 ticket, as soon as I registered again with different email addresses for each name everything worked fine.

Re: Deep Purple concert
Although it's a free concert don't be tempted to try and turn-up without ID and valid ticket.... Given the animosity from the south over Deep Purple's appearance I'm guessing they will need to make sure only ticket holders get into the gig. Otherwise you can only imagine the likes of Apoel F.C. Nicosia supporters turning up spoiling for a fight to mar the event.... If the gig security don't anticipate this then they are not worthy of the job. And - as is their wont, these so called fans are noted for trashing TRNC registered cars so that needs to be addressed too. i.e. proper car park security.

Re: Deep Purple concert
Thanks Lor 51 and Ham on Brown. Well, have to say I am swiftly going off the idea all together. Cannot see the logic in insisting on different email addresses. Not everyone has one. And I am certainly not taking along my passport for identification purposes. I imagine a driving licence will do though. Will wait a bit longer to see what happens.
