Is anyone running a solar powered system that sees you
Through a power cut or running your pool pump etc. if so how many pannels have you got and what do you run off them? what is the cost involved ? I've been looking around (in the uk) a lot of houses seem to have between 10 and 15 pannels. I want to try and run my pool pump and a couple of fridges and lights, tv, modem,.

I got a quick verbal quote from a company in North Cyprus to run an 8x4 overflow pool on solar panels and installation would be approximately £2500 - don't know if that helps?

Hi yes it was Kibsolar and they come well recommended - would be very interested to hear what you find out too as we are also exploring our options.ham on brown wrote:thanks moyra, does'nt sound to bad was it kib-solar or another company?

Well it seems to me a good option , I'm thinking of the future as I'm only 45 so no where near retirement. Electric will only go one way and if I can manage to get like no electric bills that's going someway to lowering the amount of money you need to live on so while I'm still earning might as well. I'll probably look into it a bit more next year. Thanks everyone for your in put,I'm pretty sure it's the way forward.
