Friends just arrived back to the island last night and they have nilesat tv, they now cannot get any programmes at all. Just says "no signal". He has looked at the satellite dish and seems ok. Have nilesat discontinued. Thank you.

Nilesat are still operating and if they have lost their signal I am guessing the dish has moved during one of the storms we have had. To be honest they don't need to move very much for the signal to vanish.
If they can move it themselves they will get the picture back. Failing that it will mean someone calling out to fix it for a fee.

Actually I just did a re-scan this week on a system that had been dormant for months and was showing no channels and about 998 channels were found... until I did this there did seem to be problems... so tell them to try an autoscan from the menu options..

We had a problem with ours and it turned out that the plastic LNB on the dish had started to disintegrate due to the sun, called someone out who replaced it, retuned and even put all the English channels together so well pleased with that.
