We are looking to buy a new TV in the next few weeks. Not here all the time so it is principally used to watch DVDS.

Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated.

Bought a white Arcelik 32" LCD 5 years ago...no problems at all.

Go down the new harbour road past Ermatas on the left to a rough dirt road that leads to the blocks of flats. The bottom floor of one of the blocks (the one closest to the sea) is a shop that sells everything. Have a look round in there and pay cash for a 10% discount. Have bought all my LCD TV's from him last year without any problems at all.

We have a friend leaving the island next week and only bought their TV a couple of months ago so hardly been used as they are not here all the time . It has surround sound as well. I think the TV is about 50in. If you are interested pm me and I will find out how much he wants. I think he bought it from Vestel

I have a Samsung 32" tv for sale for £100 - reason for sale is I bought a bigger TV. I am in Karsiyaka, PM me if interested in seeing it. Comes with stand and with brackets for wall fixing too.

Well thank you all for your helpful suggestions! We plumped in the end for a Vestel and so far so good. Picked out a 39 inch LED TV, took home yesterday pm and the engineers came at lunchtime today to set up. Would have put on wall if we had wanted them to but opted for stand and they reconnected everything and had it up and running in 10 mins, this is all in with cost of TV. They also took box away and put covers over their shoes when they came in the house!! Have only seen John Lewis do that in the UK!! We have a 3 year guarantee also, so impressed thus far. G
