The cost of drugs are about to rise by 50% in the next week or so I was told by my chemist yesterday, especially drugs for heart problems ie high blood pressure.
The cost for instance of Beloc beta blockers was 12tl, but they went up to 24tl about 3 months ago, but they are set to rise again to around 50tl which my chemist was most upset about.

Silly question I know, but what is the reason for this increase?

That's a 100% increase

Thank god they are free here in Wales.....

checked with our pharmacist yesterday - he knows nothing about any increases - and he's pretty 'gened up' on these things
