Thanks for posting this. I heard only two days ago that he had gone back to Holland because he was ill. I am so sorry to hear of his death. He was a man who contributed much to life here, with his walks, talks, Crusader tales, maps, and more and his leaving the island is a loss, but his leaving this world is an even greater loss.

If the family reads this but accept the love that many would be sending at this time, and who have no means of contacting them directly.

Spider, do you have an e mail address?

Really sorry to hear this, the Dutch Crusader contributed so much to life here, with his guided walks, his public talks and his general historic revelations. He also was a cartographer and produced very helpful and up to date maps of North Cyprus. I'm really sad to hear of his passing. Condolences to all of his family.

So sorry to hear this sad news. He was so knowledgeable about the history of Cyprus and made the walks so interesting. I also loved his magazine about the history. Although I didn't know his family, my thoughts are with them at this sad time.
