Firstly my apologies for asking again after at least a year, but has anyone ever found it? I've looked all over before but not this time round so any help appreciated.
many thanks.

Have never had trouble finding it in Lemar, Alaska sweetened condensed milk. They call it "kutu sutu" in Turkish, I'm sure someone in the store can show you where it is.

Also, Starling's online market has it in stock

It's evaporated milk not condensed milk journey1 is looking for - checked Supreme and Tempo today and neither had evaporated milk only condensed milk.

Thanks everyone - yes there is an abundance of condensed milk but truly the evaporated version has done just that here in the North! However thanks to this forum a kind lady has offered to buy me some when she visits down south - Happy Days!

Journey 1-It's one of those items that when you see it buy it,also, it's not always in a logical place in shops-e.g, in tempo(when they have it)it's not with the long life milk, but next to the coffee,I think I once saw it in the baking section in another shop.

I'm laughing Philoz as using logic is something I try to avoid here!

If you are really stuck you can make your own evaporated milk. Gently simmer whole milk until it has reduced by about 60%, preferably in a non stick pan. Allow to cool before using.
