Is your home made of Ytong brick? If so, are you pleased or displeased with the result?

Yes it helps keep the heat in and the cold out. We had lholidays in several villas over the years and new how difficult it was to keep warm on cold windy days, with air brick the heat just disappears, in one villa you could feel the wind at the back of your head when in bed. We also learnt open plan made heat loss worse.

Yes, Ytong is very good for the winter time but what about those hot days in August?

If you are asking if the house gets over heated in summer then no more than any other house, in August like everyone the windows and doors are open. We have no problems with sore patches or damp, would we use it again definitely

Ytong aerated concrete blocks will allow the house to be warmer in winter and cooler in summer due to their better insulation over the traditional hollow clay blocks
