water loss from overflow pool

Can anyone give advice on water loss due to evaporation - we have a 10 x 5 overflow pool and would be interested on what sort of loss we should expect?
We lost quite a lot of water in similar pool. However, there was also a bit of a leak and this plus back-wash resulted in a lorry of top-up water being delivered every 2 weeks. It's a strong learning curve!!!!!! All the best.
