I'm probably one of the eldest on this forum - I remember V2 rockets and not just in The Imperial War Museum - but today did my first scuba dive. Rah man it was soooo Kool.
Did it with Genghis of the North Cyprus Scuba Centre and he was patience personified. Genghis spent a while thoroughly going over and explaining the equipment and fitting it for me and to cut to the chase after a few safety drills at waist height in the sea we swam underwater and went down 3 meters.
Underwater Genghis was by my side all of the time and soon it was time to surface and walk to dry land.
I was surprised how very easy it is to breath underwater with an aqualung and I'll be auditioning for the part of James Bond's grandad in his next film.
