Extra choice needs to be added ie

Are you happy to be represented by the present committee. YES or. NO

I would respectfully suggest that those choices are a matter for BRS members only! The poll concerns the right of the BRS to represent all expats, be they members or not.

I feel that if you were to include a yes/no directed at the current committee then you would give a false reading to the overall representation question, in that those BRS member's who are happy to be represented by the BRS would vote NO against their current committee. Those none members would still be left with the same choices as they do not know the new or old committee.

However, it seems that many unhappy members would welcome the addition of a chance to point out that the new committee is not welcome. So, on that basis, as the BRS appears to have its head firmly in the sand - which is yet another reason I do not want them representing me without transparency, go for it and add another choice!

What poll ? And why should the BRS represent all ex-pats ? If I choose not to be a member then why would they have any right to represent me ? Are they an elected government representing an electorate - or am I missing something ? I am confused :/ :/

ATT, very long thread explains (and over explains) it all but in essence - the BRS claim to represent all expats in TRNC in their dealings with the Government - poll is simple, do you want them to or not (not that you have any choice by the way because they do it anyway), if not then vote no and if you wish to be represented by the BRS chose yes!

If I wished to be represented by them then surely I would choose to join Or am I oversimplifying this ??????? Where is the poll ? How do I access it ?

And before anyone shoots me down, I am not saying I don't want to join, or indeed that I don't want them to represent me - but merely the fact that I haven't as yet chosen to join given I know nothing of their activities (including their poll), and therefore I don't see why they have the right to represent me until such time as I do choose to join or agree to their representation on my behalf (or any other non-member for that matter).

What is going on here ??

Carbotec, not at all. I merely wondered if SKYBLUEDREAM did as he/she thinks those who care about who represents our interests to the TRNC Government are 'saddos' for caring and showing an interest.
