What is it?

Hi,
anyone seen a thing like this and know what it is ?
It stuck to the wall plaster on the house.

It looks like a Hornets nest, I have loads and if you break them up there is usually HUNDREDS of tiny spiders inside, for the baby Hornets to eat.

Definitely looks like Potter bees nest. We get them in the most awkward places but they are harmless enough.

Just Googled Potters wasp and that is what I mistakenly thought was a hornet. It is the same as I have.

Have googled on both hornet and potter. No doubt it's a Potter Wasp nest.

It is a potters wasps nest, we get 4 or 5 every year. The locals believe that they bring luck in to your home.

It's known as a 'Parliament' of Owls.
Doesn't seem to be a collective name for wasps or hornets, any suggestions??
p.s. Swallows are known as a 'Flight' or 'Gulp'.
I also like a 'Hastiness' of cooks,.. or a 'Drunkenship' of cobblers!

Thanks for the interesting link, probably a swarm of wasps, the same as bees!I think parliament is a bit of an insult to owls.

Collective noun for wasps is nest or colony, bees are a swarm...
