Gmail has pretty good security and I've had an instance where someone tried to get into my account. If you want to change your password, don't use the link in the email. Go to your Gmail account as usual and change it there. Given that Gmail has such good security, I'd consider changing your password but, as I said, don't do it via any link in e-mail, go directly to Gmail account.

i have had security alerts on about 3 occasions when i have been asked to change my password as someone has sent an email from my account that has been suspicious and they have blocked it, until i have changed my password i cannot send or receive emails for my security. i think this sort of thing happens quite regularly nowadays as people become more clever. even ebay gave an alert for everyone to change their passwords as they had been hacked and our accounts could be at risk. in this day and age it may be advisable to change our passwords on a regular basis, the only thing is we will run out of things we will remember!

I had this some time ago, and changed my password.
As MoBry says, change it in your account.
