I’ll be in Esentepe from September until October and would like to have internet access for Skype and radio. We don’t have a phone line and I’m very ignorant about dongles, wireless and Wi Fi.
Can you tell me if it’s possible to get the internet on a laptop I’ll be bringing with me without a phone line or dish please and if so what bits of apparatus will I need and where can I buy them?

turkcell and telsim both sell dongles and have usage packages that's prepaid but they wont work out cheap if your thinking of lots of streaming ie skype and radio

I started with a dongle, I listened to the radio every day, skyped and checked emails and looked at the odd youtube video and I only just managed on 4g for one month - 60tl

I find that the one month package only lasts me about 2 and a half weeks. But if only in Cyprus for a short time then even if you needed to top up again it is not too bad at 60TL a time. I am pretty sure that my dongle was from Turkcell for 10Gb monthly package, which never gets me through 4 weeks, I really do need the internet when out there so do not mind paying extra for it.
