all are welcome to come along its bring a picnic and the local watering holes will be open selling booze
with entertainment and lodaz peps shacking there thing until 24:00 should be a good night

It won't cool down much so a bathing costume will probably be more comfortably anyway Mel!

Ah, the annua lkaraman bash. heard nothing about ti at all. My spy has let me down. So I guess I am not wanted on board! But what day is it anyway, just in case there are those who would like to go. It is a fantasticnight but one eneds to know what night and what time. But as to the rain, we all know it desn't last long.

A few summers ago when I was working on a tour boat all the customers were in the sea and it started to rain one big rush to get back on board so they didnt get wet. the captain and I were laughing so much.

Yes, Deniz, I have been caught that way. I was about to jump into the Pool when the rain started, nearly turned round when logic caught up and I went in anyway. It was fun swimming in the rain -but the silly thing was everyone else thought i was mad.

The most wonderful experience though was in the UK swimming in an outoor pool while is was snowing.

The outdoor pool was accessed by a short underwater tunnel from the indoor pool and both were well heated.

Went out to Ercan thismorning and the mucky haze over towards the south and over Nicosia was pretty bad - could be raining sand again tomorrow along with rain!! Our barometer has dropped considerably over the last 4 days so anything could happen!

Iancrumpy last night we didn't just have rain, we had a full blown storm. Lightening, rain and high winds that blew furniture about. Still although it's still hot it's a little less humid this morning.

There were three tornados last night in the sea many coastal restaurants and beach sites were wrecked. a tour boat anchored in Oscars bay lost the mast and anchors the crew were rescued by the coast guard. But it only rained for 15mins.

Storm/Tornado. So that is what is was ! I was thinking that the local Belly had used our pool as a land fill site rather than the beauty spot of Malatya. The weather dumped in roof tiles, branches, leaves, flower blooms, and from the adjacent land, plastic bags/bottles, used cement bags and the usual rubbish discarded by builders. Had much to do before the filter could cope.

As one of the oldest (expat) inhabitants, I have learned that "light showers" here can mean anything from three drops of rain to torrential downpour. Particulaly in July and August (June is a bit early) and when there is cloud gathering over the sea. So I exxpect the worst and batten down accordingly. In one of the early years my sun umbrella took off and landed in a neighbours' garden. Fortunately they thought it was funny, but being one with a spike at the end I was really lucky it didnt cause serious damage or injury.
