You get whatever they give you I think never known any longer than 90 days.

We walked over at Ledra Street as we would be over our 90 days come tomorrow, when we actually go back to the UK. I asked the same question to a rather civil chap at the crossing and he did say as long as you are over 60 you can come and go as you please. It would still worry me though that when we come back in September for another 100 days,if the chap/lady at the Metehan crossing would be so amiable, you know what some of them are like. As another poster mentioned the other day, perhaps someone from the BRS could get a proper answer to this question from someone high up in government, it would certainly save a lot of hassle.

The immigration officer at Lefkosa said to us last time, 'why are you doing this, you don't need to'. we did, as we had geared ourselves up to it and could not bring ourselves to go home with nothing. This year we are definitely not doing it!!! I've talked to many people now, who are to-ing and fro-ing without any problems. We don't even have driving licenses and even that is not an issue apparently, this came from somebody who tested this!!

They just stamp your piece of white paper for "in and out" and that's it. No 90 days or anything, because if your over 60 your free to come and go as you please.

Not always a given. I know someone who turned 60 in March this year. Only got 60 days.

Valid point Karmels. As for me, a true rebel at heart, I stick with the rules when in a strange land. Safer that way. It is risky enough being in a 'strange land' so I prefer to minimize. Anyway, I like my rules in writing!
Will be interesting ot see what changes (if any) come about after tomorrow.

Well said Marion, don't rock the boat that brought you to paradise.
For those in conflict please do not respond to this thread as the answer may offend.
