It.s the old Bar 8.8 on the Mare Monte road. Only a few yards from the main road.

Have to agree with Vaughan there - we went last night and had food off the menu - faultless to a T! food was fabulous and plenty of it! Nice guy running it too - well worth a visit!

My only gripe is that they advertise as an Indian European restaurant but only really serve curries. We popped in last week thinking we'd try it. It was one night that neither of us fancied a curry, so we left when given the menu. Good luck to them all the same.

Fully agree with Vaughan. We had an excellent meal there tonight, followed by coffee and brandy/coffee liquor on the house.

Everyday menu has starters and popadoms 8 - 12 TL and curries around 28 TL on average. They also do a 2 course Sunday Lunch for 25TL.

Thanks for the info. Might take 'himself' there. Not far from home and price seems reasonable. Thanks again.

Just shows how opinions show went last night must say its the worst meal iv had in 10 yrs here.Starter was underdone main meal less than average Abdul was at Pungab for years by last nights experience he did nt learn a lot .When told about about bad meal hes got a couldn't care less attitude. Was offered a brandy as that will solve everthing me thinks not .

I'm no curry expert but the people I was there with last night are and I certainly won't be going back. Stodgy starters and very bland main course made it a very bad experience. I have had much better elsewhere on many occasions but thought it was worth a visit after hearing good reviews. looking forward to my next curry somewhere else.

We went after all the good reviews----possibly the worst meal ever, they could,nt get three drinks right which should have set alarm bells ringing followed by starters we did,nt order or want, then when the correct starters arrived they were cold after that we left.
So much for following glowing reviews

We have had a takeaway & a sit down meal in La Rosh. Both were excellent, starters, curries & drinks came exactly as we ordered.i hope it has not got as bad as previous 3 posts have said!! Will give it another go in a few days. Also pleased that posts 1-4-6 & 11 enjoyed the experience.

I'm not commenting on this thread in particular, but I get the impression that some people give plugs to eating establishments to help them, when the meal does not necessarily warrant it. This can be counter-productive.

Frontalman - You have summed it up really, there is a lot of 'plugging' going on on this forum.

In addition, what is one man's ''Best meal I've ever had'' is another man's ''worst meal ever''.

I think there is a fair amount of ''Give me a brandy(Free)and I will plug your place on 'KibKom' going on.

Eating out is very subjective in my opinion.

Agree with you philoz, re eating out. Also like you, you don't want to read about dogs in the main forum, I don't want to read about restaurants in the main forum,

Thank you Lor51 for your kind words and support.
I will add you to the ever increasing list of friends who agree with what I have to say, but are not necessarily prepared to do it publicly, for fear of vitriol.
