I've tried most Yapi markets and pool chemical suppliers west of Girne with no luck.

Let me know if you manage to source some.

I've bought it at a pharmacy, it wasn't on show, so you have to ask for it. For goodness sake, don't take a whiff of the stuff, it's lethal!

Yeah, Toastlady a whiff of it can clear your sinuses very quickly, my mum used to put a few drops of it into her smelling salts bottle to freshen it up !! The original poster mentioned cleaning a cooker, The trick I learnt was to take all the oven shelves and the grids from top plus any other oil/fat burnt pans or trays, put them in a strong plastic sack inside a dustbin with a cup of ammonia, tie the sack up tight put a lid on and leave overnight. Next day , avoiding breathing the fumes, take items out and wash them in hot soapy water with soda crystals. Burnt on stuff should come off easily. The longer you can leave it the better the result. I also tend to use a few drops in the water when I'm cleaning windows that are a bit greasy.
