Girne air show planes, does anyone know what the planes are, are they stunt planes or real fighter jets. Thanks.

I think the All Star 'planes are Northrop F5's 'Freedom Fighter' and Solo Turk flies the F16 'Fighting Falcon' so the former is rather older and in 'retirement', but the latter is very much in active service throughout NATO and beyond.

Agree Solo Turk was better. Plus you had another wave from him. Great show. Amazing that they get so close to each other and so low.

Is it just me ,or did anyone else feel that the 6 Turkish Stars did not give their usual brilliant display, It seemed mostly to be in pairs other than all together as in previous years? Solo Turk was brilliant.

Have seen the shows lots of times now. Enjoyed it very much but agree with Owl Lady, on this occasion the Turkish Stars did not seem to give such a good display. Solo Turk also was not as good as in the past when he came so close that the ground shook. But it was a fabulous day none the less. Well done to all of them.
