Have dropped phones in jug of water and the bath, but retrieved them pretty quick. Not sure about a full wash. DO NOT put in full sunlight, but strip it down to as many pieces as you can and just lay it out on a cloth to dry, may take a couple of days. My son also put his in a bowl of rice to absorb any moisture. Good Luck

Maybe your best bet is to go to a phone shop. Who no doubt will try to sell you a new one. I know from e xperience of friends that if the battery gets wet, it can be dried, or replaced, but of course in your instance, it might have had all the guts washed out of it.

Better consult an expert.

During the last heavy rain storm in May İ left my phone on a table on the terrace and only realised after a couple of hours the phone was wet through inside and not working on the advice of my son İ put the phone and battery seperately in a bowl of rice for 12 hours put the battery in and it started no problem since.

The suggestions made with the rice is I think the best option. Very important not to switch it on, though I hazard a guess that it was switched on when in pocket!

If it is a Blackberry, or an Apple phone, both of these are nice with rice, possible even Orange. enjoy.

I would have thought it was his responsibilty for leaving the phone in the pocket and not keeping it with him. I do all my own washing and hang it up straight away, so no ironing required. My dear lady just leaves hers in a heap until she decides to iron. She never knows where her phone or keys are, most annoying!

Blimey - that is role reversal!

Hi frontalman,

I am impressed that you do all your own washing but please tell me how you get away without ironing any of it?

Many of my friends say they don't iron but it doesn't matter how careful I am most of my clothes come off the line creased.

My washing machine only has a 800 rpm so it can't be the problem. I would welcome any suggestions, as ironing in this heat

really is a pain.
