Vegetable shortening

Has anyone seen vegetable shortening (Cookeen/Spry) on this side of the island? I need some rather urgently.

Fatouche, I've bought lard in Tempo in Catalkoy. Would that be of any use to you or is there a big difference?

Lard is porc fat ; i need vegetable shortening to keep fondant maleable. Ileli no longer have tins of Spry.

There used to be a place called Lard-di-dahs here but it's gone now (sorry ).

Boys stop it.... get serious.
Try dehydrating them in the clay oven, they should shorten nicely.
