Computer - help needed
We have a Broadband wireless device which is working well with my laptop and the TV however our desk top computer has suddenly failed to access the internet. This was connected via a USB adaptor which the fault finder told me has malfunctioned. Bought a new USB device but it refuses to install the driver as this comes on a half sized disc ( which may be the reason ). Any computer literate person out there with any thoughts on this? Would be most grateful.

Small discs should work... so it may be you need to run installation as administrator... Try right clicking on the installation executable and just below the run option should 'run as administrator' and see if this will allow install to continue.. Failing all else take you PC to Acdinc in Karakum, (In the same parade of shops as The Stroll Inn and Funky Divas...) The young chap will sort it for you...

You may need to uninstall the old driver

What is the name/make/model number of the new USB device please?
No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.
